Professor Jon Townend

Professor Townend is Director of Clinical Research and honorary Professor of Cardiology within the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Birmingham and a Consultant Cardiologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.  He is a senior clinical investigator with numerous grants and awards and publications in leading cardiovascular journals.  He is joint leader of the Birmingham Cardio-Renal Research Group.
