Bio
Dr Nicola Anderson is a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham’s Centre for Patient Reported Outcomes Research. Her primary research interests include mixed methods research, with a focus on the equitable use and implementation of patient-reported outcomes (PROs) in health, social and integrated care settings. She is interested in the electronic collection of PROs (ePROs) to improve the care for people with multiple long-term conditions and how implementation science can accelerate the translation of evidence on the use and benefits of ePROs into practice.
Nicola is also a Lead Nurse in the Research, Development and Innovation Department at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, where her role includes facilitating and supporting clinical academic careers for research delivery staff, with a particular focus on nurse-led research. Nicola sits on various regional and national committees including her role as an Executive Committee member of the Association of Nephrology Nurses UK (ANN UK), where she is the founder and Chair of the ANN UK Nursing Research in Kidney Care Community of Practice.
