Associate Professor in Lifestyle Behaviour Change

Bio

Dr. Sally Fenton an Associate Professor in Lifestyle Behaviour Change at the University of Birmingham. Her research is focused on the development, delivery and evaluation of theory-based interventions to promote physical activity, with a emphasis on clinical populations. To date, she has conducted a series of studies aligned with this theme, among children, older adults, and patient groups – with a recent focus on people living with Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Dr. Fenton also has expertise in the application of device-based assessments of physical activity and sedentary behaviour (e.g. accelerometers, commercial wearables) as an intervention tool, and to evaluate intervention efficacy.
